At Tiger Data, formerly Timescale, we empower developers and businesses with the fastest PostgreSQL platform designed for transactional, analytical, and agentic workloads. Trusted globally by thousands of organizations, Tiger accelerates real-time insights, drives intelligent applications, and powers critical infrastructure at scale. As a globally distributed, remote-first team committed to direct communication, accountability, and collaborative excellence, we're shaping the future of data infrastructure, built for speed, flexibility, and simplicity.
We're hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own developer-facing messaging, competitive intelligence, and feature-level launches for Tiger Cloud. This is a hands-on IC role focused on execution: you'll turn product and engineering context into clear, technically credible content that helps developers understand, evaluate, and adopt Tiger Data.
You'll work closely with the Staff PMM (who owns platform-level positioning and strategic narrative), as well as Product, Engineering, Developer Relations, Sales, and Demand Generation. You'll report to the Head of Product Marketing.
This role is remote-first. We are open to candidates based in the United States, with a preference for meaningful overlap with Pacific and Eastern Time zones, as well as Western Europe. Regular travel to the Bay Area or New York City is expected.
Developer and practitioner messaging: crafting technically accurate narratives for the people who evaluate, implement, and use TimescaleDB day-to-day.
Tiger Cloud feature launches: driving end-to-end GTM for feature releases, including positioning, content, internal enablement, and cross-functional coordination.
Competitive intelligence: building and maintaining competitive positioning materials, battle cards, and technical comparisons that keep Sales and the broader team informed.
Content execution: producing high-quality, developer-first content including blogs, landing pages, launch docs, competitive explainers, and demo narratives.
Campaign support: partnering with Demand Generation and Marketing Operations to scale product stories across web, SEO, paid, and social channels.
Sales enablement support: contributing to technical demo materials, competitive positioning docs, and field-facing messaging for technical deals.
4β5+ years of experience in Product Marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS, infrastructure, databases, DevTools, or developer-first products.
Experience executing product launches end-to-end. You've owned the positioning, content, and cross-functional coordination, not just contributed to it.
Strong written communication, particularly when crafting clear, concise technical messaging for developers and technical buyers.
Comfort working directly with Product Managers, Engineers, and Sales to get the context you need and ensure accuracy.
Ability to move between strategy-informed thinking and detailed execution. You can interpret a positioning framework and turn it into a blog post, landing page, or battle card yourself.
Familiarity with what effective developer marketing looks like, and what gets ignored.
Thoughtful use of AI tools to accelerate research, competitive analysis, and content iteration while maintaining technical rigor and accuracy.
Previous experience as a software engineer, DevRel advocate, or technical sales engineer.
Familiarity with databases, SQL, and developer tooling (IDEs, CI/CD, version control, cloud-native infrastructure).
Experience at early-stage or rapidly scaling companies where scope was ambiguous and ownership was real.
A track record of building competitive intelligence programs or developer-facing content engines.
Are looking for a people management role.
Prefer strategy-only work and aren't interested in producing content yourself.
Are uncomfortable marketing deeply technical products to technical audiences.
Need rigid role boundaries instead of collaborating fluidly across teams.
Are not able to travel regularly to the Bay Area or New York City.
We respond to every applicant.
We review applications fairly and objectively, and shortlist based on relevant skills and experience.
We ensure clear and timely communication throughout your candidate journey.
We maintain a rigorous interview process with a high bar, designed to give you the opportunity to meet various team members you'll collaborate with across our organization.
